Early Stage Projects

4NRG is involved with all aspects of innovative device development and we are always keen to expand our remit. Details of some of our early stage projects are outlined below:

Hydrogen Train
4NRg's low profile hydrogen fuel cell train represents a quantum leap for the rail industry. It’s extremely low centre of gravity and streamlined shape will maximise fuel efficiency and allow it to travel much faster than existing trains on conventional tracks. Fuel cell powered, the train has the potential to contribute to the decarbonisation of rail transport; producing less carbon emissions than diesel locomotives without the extensive infrastructure required by electric locomotives. Desktop research and conceptual design is ongoing for this project. 4NRg are particularly interesting in hearing from potential partners in this project.

DiscGen
4NRg have a flywheel disc armature generator under development which has the potential to revolutionise generator technology. Desktop research and workshop experimentation are ongoing.

Energy Storage
Furthur development and innovation is required in the field of energy storage technology in order to allow higher penetration of intermittant sources of electricity such as wind, wave and solar. Several novel energy storage technologies are under development by 4NRg.
