4NRg successfully deployed 3DASM equipment and have collected live flow data from the area where the Tidalharvester 2 (TH2) 1:5 prototype is to be deployed later this year. This initial data has confirmed the suitability of the site. Further data collection will be on-going.

4NRg successfully deploys the new Coastal Erosion Eliminator prototype in the North Sea.
This experiment aimed to observe the rotor response to waves. A smaller version had already positively responded to tidal streams earlier in the year. The experiment was a success with a steady and regular voltage and current being cabled to test equipment on the beach. Two deployments were made, the first in relatively straight waves and the other in converging waves from 3 prominent directions 045-090-135 degrees formed by local conditions. Both deployments were able to extract energy from the flattened wave process. This puts the CEE project at Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL6) of 8. TRL6 = Sea deployment in sheltered waters.

Coastal Erosion Eliminator Project - 1:16 scale prototype has successfully completed initial sea trials - it works very well. Work can now commence on a larger 1:4 scale prototype and the engineering design for the 1:1 pre-commercial device. We are looking to work with the engineering group at a regional university for the offshore frame design.
